A twice-baked potato topped with caviar is a dish long associated with Caviar Kaspia in Paris, a connection documented by the Los Angeles Times. At Bellagio, caviar can arrive with a martini. These are distinct ways to dine, united by the roe at their centre.
Famous caviar addresses range from historic seafood dining rooms to house-branded restaurants and hotel lounges. Prunier in Paris, Petrossian in West Hollywood and Petrossian Bar at Bellagio still advertise dining. London's original Prunier belongs to history. Knowing which is which makes this map useful.
How this guide was compiled
Every entry has documented historical significance or a documented role in caviar dining. Simply putting caviar on a menu is not enough. Current entries were checked against venue or host websites on 4 November 2026: these checks establish advertised service rather than a personal visit. No venue paid for inclusion, and the geographic sequence is not a ranking.
This is a selective reference map, not an exhaustive directory of restaurants serving roe. A historic dining room, a boutique serving food and a hotel bar offer different experiences; each is identified by format. The wider caviar bars and restaurants hub explores those distinctions through city guides and explanations of service.
Historic venues: what closed, what moved
London: Prunier, St James's Street
Simone Prunier opened her St James's Street restaurant in 1935. It continued through wartime disruption, then closed permanently on 18 March 1976. London Museum records that history, along with the restaurant's French fish cookery.
This was an English outpost of the family's Parisian seafood restaurants: an established dining tradition carried across borders. That international movement gives London's Prunier its place here, rather than any claim to have invented caviar service.
Paris: Prunier Madeleine's restaurant service
Prunier moved all restaurant activity from its Madeleine address to Avenue Victor Hugo from 26 June 2023, according to the house's own notice. That transfer is not evidence that the whole house closed or that the Madeleine boutique disappeared.
Bellagio's page highlights a caviar taco, a martini with a caviar accompaniment and other small dishes.
London's restaurant closed; Madeleine's dining moved. An old dining-room photograph or an undated restaurant listing is no substitute for checking the current dining address. A house's history should not simply be attached to whichever premises appear in a search result.

Famous caviar bars and restaurants listed for dining today
These are specific branches, not every location sharing a name. Service descriptions come from operators or host institutions; the historical dish association is attributed separately. Europe comes first, followed by Asia and North America, with cities alphabetical within each group.

Caviar houses and their dining rooms
Petrossian, Caviar Kaspia and Caviar House & Prunier all have identifiable dining operations in this selection. The house name gives diners a recognisable connection; it does not establish identical ownership or legal operators across branches. A hotel-hosted restaurant and a standalone house restaurant can be different businesses.
In West Hollywood, Petrossian's menu explicitly offers dine-in caviar service with blinis, toast points and crème fraîche. Its locations page also distinguishes the West Hollywood restaurant and boutique from Petrossian's New York boutique. The Petrossian profile tells the house's story; the branch's published service establishes its place here as somewhere to eat.
Caviar Kaspia's Paris address and its restaurant at The Mark put the house-branded dining room into two different settings. The potato association documented by the Los Angeles Times helps explain the house's recognition, without settling who first combined potatoes and roe. The Caviar Kaspia profile explores the fuller house story.
At Prunier's current Avenue Victor Hugo address, the bar and upstairs restaurant are presented as distinct experiences. In Tokyo, the Japanese operator publishes a menu, opening hours and a last-order time for Prunier at Azabudai Hills. Those details identify dining at a particular branch, something a general statement about distributing caviar in a country cannot do.
Hotel bars and department store counters
At Petrossian Bar in Bellagio, caviar can accompany a drink rather than dictate an entire restaurant meal. Bellagio's page highlights a caviar taco, a martini with a caviar accompaniment and other small dishes. The menu also offers conventional caviar service, allowing for both a drink and a plate and a more structured tasting.
In Hamburg, the setting is a seafood counter within Alsterhaus. The department store lists Caviar House & Prunier among its food and restaurant offerings: dining inside a retail host, rather than a standalone dining room. Its hours, privacy and menu should not be assumed to match those of a separate restaurant.
A menu photograph alone cannot tell you whether a caviar selection belongs to a restaurant, a bar, a temporary event or retail alone. For the mechanics of service, caviar dining and service explains how a tasting menu differs from a separate caviar course.

Where the city guides take over
Paris's house restaurants belong in the Paris guide. For London's current addresses, turn to the London guide. The Mark's restaurant sits within the New York and Miami guide. Those guides cover local choices and logistics. Here, the focus is historical continuity, venue type and documented caviar service.
The selection reflects what can be documented at branch level, rather than a judgement on cities left out. An old opening announcement is not sufficient evidence of present operation; a familiar name does not establish unchanged premises, menus or management.
How to check before travelling
Start with the exact branch on the restaurant's own website. Identify the host venue and cross-check its directory if the branch sits inside a hotel, department store or airport. Confirm whether it is a seated restaurant, bar, retail boutique or seasonal installation. An address and telephone number alone cannot answer that.
Look for an explicit dine-in menu, then check its date and reservation availability for your intended day and service. If old announcements sit alongside current information, contact the branch directly. Confirm that it serves seated diners and offers caviar service itself, rather than relying on the restaurant's name to guarantee a particular dish.
Corporate status answers a separate question about the operator. Companies House shows that Caviar House Airport Premium (UK) Limited entered administration in September 2024 and liquidation in September 2026. That record does not establish that every restaurant with related branding closed, or that an airport bar is operating today.
For a journey built around a particular dining room, retain the branch's confirmation and check again shortly before arrival. Ask about temporary closures and private events, and whether the published menu applies to the restaurant or only the bar. Those final checks matter especially when several formats share one house name.
